This compact air purifier is sized for a desk, a bedside table or a hotel room rather than a whole house. It runs from a USB power supply, so it can be plugged into a laptop, a wall adaptor or a power bank when you are travelling.

Air is drawn through a three stage filter, starting with a pre filter that catches larger particles such as hair and lint, then an H13 grade HEPA filter for fine airborne particles including dust, pollen and pet dander, and finally an activated carbon layer that helps with odours. Replacement filters are available separately.

Operation is simple. The unit starts when power is connected, and there are two fan speeds along with an oscillation setting that can be switched on or off. In its white finish it stays visually quiet on a bedside table or desk.
