Nugget ice is the soft, chewable kind you get from a good cafe, and it is the reason this machine is worth the bench space. Each batch takes five to ten minutes depending on the room temperature, and the machine can turn out as much as 15 kg over a full day.

The control panel keeps things to a couple of buttons, with alarms for a low water tank and a full ice bin, and a transparent window so you can watch the batch build. A self cleaning function takes care of the internal rinse cycle, and the 1.1 L tank is easy to top up.
