This benchtop ice maker turns out its first batch of nine bullet shaped cubes in about ten minutes, and keeps going at up to 12 kg over a full day. That is enough to cover a party, a long weekend of drinks, or a household that simply gets through more ice than a freezer tray can supply.
The 2.2 L tank cuts down how often you are topping it up, and a viewing window plus LED indicators let you check progress at a glance. Touch controls handle the two selectable cube sizes, and alarms tell you when the water is low, the basket is full or something needs attention.
A self clean function takes care of the maintenance most people put off, and a compressor protector guards the unit between cycles. At 23.3 cm wide it fits on a bench without dominating it, and it moves easily to an outdoor kitchen, caravan, office or holiday house.
