This 3.8 litre benchtop deep fryer gives you a proper oil bath for chips, crumbed chicken, spring rolls and battered fish without tying up the cooktop. The capacity suits a family meal or a small gathering, and the stainless steel housing wipes down easily after a busy cooking session.

Two knobs handle the cooking: a timer that runs up to 60 minutes and a temperature dial adjustable from 150 to 190 degrees Celsius. An indicator light cycles on and off as the thermostat holds the oil at the set temperature, so you can see when the fryer is up to heat. A thermal safety device switches the fryer off automatically if it overheats.

The lid has a viewing window and an odour reducing filter so you can watch the food without lifting it, and the frying basket has a cool touch handle and a drain support position for letting oil run back into the pot. Both the basket and the enamelled oil container are dishwasher safe, and the container is marked inside with maximum and minimum oil levels.
