The largest of the range at 14000 BTU, this portable air conditioner is aimed at open plan living areas and larger bedrooms where a smaller unit would struggle. It cools, dehumidifies and runs as a straight fan, so it earns its floor space through the seasons.

A smart LED display keeps the settings visible, and control comes three ways: at the unit, from the supplied remote, or through the companion WiFi app on your phone. The swing function spreads air across the room, three fan speeds give you range, and a 1 to 24 hour timer covers scheduled running.

Built in handles and four castors make repositioning simple, and the window exhaust pipe and fittings are supplied for venting. The mesh filter pulls out for cleaning. The supplier rates noise at 54 to 65 dB, lists R290 refrigerant and includes a one year warranty. Assembly is required.
