A personal evaporative cooler sized for a desk, a bedside table or a camp table. Fill the tank with cold water, add ice cubes if you like, and the unit draws air across the damp filter and pushes a cooled stream back out where you need it.

Three modes cover natural breeze, low cool mist and high cool mist, and four wind speeds run from low through to high. The outlet louvre adjusts through 120 degrees, so you can aim the airflow rather than move the whole unit. Power comes over USB, which means a power bank, laptop, car charger or wall adapter can run it; no adapter is included.

The 700 mL tank is sealed and fills from the top, with a level window on the side so you can see at a glance how much water is left. When the water runs out the cooler switches itself to plain airflow. A timer can be set to 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours, and a seven colour night light cycles automatically and can be switched off.
