A straightforward stainless steel potato press for smooth mash without lumps. Cooked potato is loaded into the chamber and pressed through the perforated plate, which breaks it down far more evenly than a fork or a hand masher.
The stainless steel construction resists staining, corrosion and bending, and reinforced rivets hold the pressing plate to the handles so the tool keeps its shape under load. The handles carry a textured anti slip grip that stays comfortable when you are pressing a full pot of potatoes.
It is not only for mash. The same press works for soft purees, and for squeezing juice from citrus such as oranges and lemons, or extracting liquid from cooked vegetables. Once you are done it can go in the dishwasher or simply be rinsed under running water.
